I’ve somehow never made it to Bangkok, even though I’ve been to Thailand a couple of times. I have to tread the length and breadth of Khao San Road to eat all that I can!! Cheers!!

Thank you for your visit! You can go to Bangkok anytime:) The season is warming from March to May, April being the hottest month. Normally, this rainy period is sporadic. In this period of time, you can eat mango…a lot of tasty mango 🙂

  2. […] We went to Asia in the first part of April, after a long and hard-to-wait time. We bought the plane tickets at the beginning of January. We chose destinations after many failed attempts to combine 4 countries in 4 weeks. In a natural order of things, I wanted relaxation, fun, visiting important destination points, beach and a little bit of shopping in the end. Obviously, the shopping side was my secret plan ? It was the first time I left for a month with just a hand baggage in which I put the necessary and a small backpack with the the camera. We chose to fly again with Qatar Airways and, after a two-hour stopover in Doha, during which we searched 3 times for the smoking area, and as many times we also forgot where it was, we took the plane to Bangkok. Doing shopping in Bangkok, especially in the weekend market, is a must when you are in Bangkok, you can find many cheap things 🙂

Thank you so much, Happily Tanned! You are right, even it`s expensive, Asiatique is a beautiful place. Thank you for your visit 🙂

  4. Bangkok was also my first place to visit in Asia – I loved it and I’m surprised why people sometimes say they hated it (when you compare to Yangon it’s waaaay better!). If you want to swap Dan for someone who actually like shopping at markets I’m in! 🙂 The tiger/cobra creams are great when you are ill – I totally agree – we always buy them when in Asia!

  5. I’ve only been to Bangkok once, and the visit was super short — not enough time to do all the things you’ve mentioned! You’ve really made me want to return to Bangkok! And I especially want to try the mango sticky rice dessert now too! Thanks for sharing!
